Hyraxes are commonly known as Dassies in South Africa,
and two species, the Rock and the Yellow-spotted often live together
in the same rocky outcrops. Calls include loud barks, grunts and
squeals and the recording of this loud wailing was made by Yellow-spotted
Hyraxes in Mashatu Game Reserve, Botswana.
