The alarm call of the Bushbuck is a gruff, loud bark
ideal for penetrating the thick bush that is its favourite habitat.
This one was responding
to the presence of two lionesses. Suddenly several bushbuck burst
out of the bush closely followed by a lioness that gave up the
chase a few metres from my vehicle.
